We set up on Ferris Fork Road, known locally as "Phercy Fork", just west of Marrowbone, Kentucky, and within sight of Highway 90. Our subject was the sprawling collection of buildings that make up a dairy farm, that I believe is known as the Garmon Farm.
The outing started in sunshine at about 1:30 pm and proceeded quickly into a cloudy, cooler day than we expected. Liza painted on a 9x12 panel on a half-box French easel. While I painted a 16x20 on my Gloucester style easel made by Take It Easel.
We had fun, and with cold ears and toes we decided we had accomplished what we had come to do. We had put down our images on canvas. I think Liza was happy with her effort (which she should be), and I am sorta happy with mine. Although I do believe some structural engineering might be in store for mine at a point in the not to distant future.
